My Background
Though my life has taken me on many creative journeys - my career picked up when I became a Digital Design Fellow for Chronicle Books in San Francisco.
Soon after I joined Inkling (a digital publishing technology) as a design and code QA specialist - a testament to my eye for detail. Within a year I was a fully enstated designer for Inkling’s high profile publishing clients - building out branded ebook courses across their portfolios.
Inkling grew into a B2B software technology that served fortune 500 companies, and I grew with it. Ultimately I had the opportunity Inkling’s in-house creative agency and working with major fortune 500 companies like McDonald’s and Taco Bell. I managed a team of designers and developers and built out our agency design ops and process to great success.
After a move to New York - I operated freelance as a creative director and developer for brands like Amazon (Eero brand), Stride Health, and Roshi. Before finding a new home at Newsela as their Brand Design Lead. Here I’ve managed a re-brand, built out sophisticated design processes, trainings, and self-serve templates to help us operate at scale. I manage a team of multi-disciplinary designers, creative agencies, and freelancers. I have also served as Creative Director - conceptualizing all of our campaign creative, and managing it to execution.
