No worries folks, the top ten cookbook choices are still on their way, but first it’s time for another installment of foodie pen pal love. For those of you who don’t know, foodie pen pals is a means to send local scrumptious treats to another foodie in the states (or the UK or Canada depending where you’re at). It’s a great way to get connected with other foodies and there is a cap at $15 so it’s not too hard on the wallet either.
This month the lovely Taryn H. sent me some delicious goodies (See photo above). The treat I was most excited about was the New Hope Mills pancake mix. Until this year I didn’t much like pancakes, now I seem to be making up for lost time. I just can’t seem to get enough of them! Apparently these are so good that her family asks Taryn to send this mix to them. Needless to say that I have some excellent breakfasts in my future (now to pick up some strawberries at the farmers market!).
But favorite packaging goes to this little bottle of BBQ sauce. The dinosaur is just great and I know that if I were to show it to my sister’s boyfriend he’d be on cloud nine. BBQ and dinosaurs? that’s a combination that’s just too good to resist.
I also received Some tart cherry juice and some Tim Horton’s coffee, needless to say that I was a very happy pen pal. So a big thank you to Taryn! You can also see what I got my foodie pen pal Julia at her blog.
